Casillas wants to forget about the Getafe match and focus on Steaua: "We have to move on"
"We have to move on"Casillas wants to forget about the Getafe match and focus on Steaua
Real Madrid's goalkeeper didn't hold back and recognised that Saturday's match against Schuster's men was “the worst match I can remember.” But Casillas wants to leave the game in the past and is only looking ahead to Tuesday's stiff test against Steaua Bucharest.
Did Capello tell you anything significant after the Getafe match?
We all know that it was a bad game. We didn't play well. We have to move on and focus on the Champions League game. Had the team performerd well, it would be another story.
Was the Getafe match worst than the Lyon match?
I think so. That's more or less how we played. Getafe played very well and controlled the ball, and we weren't in good form. We know we didn't perform well, but we can't dwell on it. We have to think about our next match. The good thing about football is that you quickly forget about games, whether they were good or bad, although they always make headlines at Real Madrid.
You have yet to win at the Coliseum.
We don't do very well on that pitch. We have lost twice and drawn once. Getafe have always played well against Madrid, but I would rather play bad games against Getafe if it meant making our fans happy in the long run. The team will continue to bond, and hopefully it will result in a title.
What are your thoughts on Ronaldo's second yellow card?
It was a bit harsh. He didn't say anything disrespectful, insulting, or threatening. It was just a comment. The referee needs to realise we play a lot of games. There is a lot of pressure and he could have put up with a little more. It will be appealed and it will be up to those who decide.
