Salgado injured again:The right fullback pulled a muscle in his left calf

Míchel Salgado suffered yet another setback. Recovered from his knee injury, the right fullback made his way to the dressing room just minutes after finishing the physical part of today's training session. On his way to the showers, he spoke to a physiotherapist about a problem with his left calf, which was later diagnosed as a pulled calf muscle.

Míchel Salgado took the pitch with the rest of his teammates for the first time since being injured against Levante. With a brace protecting his recently recovered left knee, the right fullback carried out the first part of Tuesday's training session without consequence. He showed no lingering effects during the 30 minutes of jogging.

But following the physical aspect of the workout, instead of making his way towards the goals with the rest of the squad, Salgado headed to the dressing room alongside the physiotherapist. Once inside, he was looked at by the medical staff, who later confirmed that Míchel pulled the aponeurotic layers of the internal soleus muscle of the left calf.
