Capello, very satisfied: "Now we're a spirited team. This is what's most important"
Capello was satisfied and happy, but he maintained his composure because, although he knows that the victory is important, all of this has just started. Today, Real Madrid executed Capello's orders and style, based on defensive order and swift break-aways in attack, to perfection.
“Tactically and emotionally, we have changed a lot. Now, we act and look as a team and that's the most important thing. Moreover, we have spirit and quality. The entire squad has changed much after the Getafe talk; I am sure that was the key. We also had quite a few chances that we didn't put in the back of the net: two goals, but also two balls off the woodwork and a couple other great chances. As always, the most important thing in football is materialising these opportunities. There will always be rotations in the team. You can't play with just 14 players all season long. The three points are very important because we are now closer to Barcelona and they are a psychological boost. I said since the first day I arrived here that we would be very competitive. Then, you play and you can win or lose. Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, all these teams can get to the end of this campaign in the same situation as us, with chances of winning the League. I never judge the players of the opposing team (after a question about Ronaldinho's form).”
