Robinho wants to be the best: "I have the talent to win the Golden Ball in two or three years"

He has been a mainstay in Capello's starting lineups of late. The talented Brazilian forward has been working harder than ever on the first third of the pitch. "I try to do what I can on the pitch, but I have to do what the coach asks of me because he decides who plays," stated Robinho, who is hoping to give Madridistas many reasons to celebrate.

How is Marcelo doing?
He's doing well. He's a good person and a good player. I am sure he will do well here.

Your thoughts on him playing with Castilla?
If he's good enough to play for the first team, he will. If not, he has to work with the youth team before playing with the first.

How do you like Capello's style?
We're trying to adapt to Capello's work philosophy. I always try to be happy. That's just me and I am trying to get used to his style.

Are you comfortable playing on the left flank or do you prefer another position?
I am comfortable. I am trying very hard to adapt to this position. I just want to play.

Does Capello's system tie you down in any way?
I try to do what I can on the pitch with my abilities. But I have to do what the coach asks of me because he decides who plays. He asks that I move down, but I do what I know best when I have the ball.

Bilbao is up next. You played well against them last year.
Every game has its history and I hope history repeats itself on Sunday. Bilbao aren't in their best form, but it's a hard match because they're always out to beat us.

Ronaldo is looking to get back into the teamsheet.
We all know he's the best when he's healthy. I love playing with him. We've been doing it for a long time. Ruud is also very good. I don't mind who plays in attack. I always try to play my best football.

Why is the team playing better on the road?
The team is trying to have fun. We also want to play well at home.

Who would you give FIFA World Player to?
It's a tough call because I am friends with both. Cannavaro was crucial for his national team. Ronaldinho as well. I don't know who I would give it to. Zidane is also a friend.

What's been said about all of Valencia's injuries?
It's tough. It's the worst news for us as players. We never want to be on the medical report, but it's a part of football.

Do you think you'll ever with the Golden Ball?
It's a dream of mine. I will work hard and I have the talent for it. Perhaps in two or three years.

You are becoming a solid group again and having dinners together. It's been a while since that happened.
We need to be friends off the pitch. We went out yesterday and had a good time. We'll definitely do it again.

Do you know Gago?
Not very well. He must be good if they want to sign him.
