Ronaldo Flying To Milan
The Fenômeno is on his way back to Italy four and a half years later, returning to the same city, Milan, although to wear a different jersey at San Siro.
Spanish daily ‘Sport’ somewhat melodramatically announced ‘Ronaldo’s second act of treachery’ as it described the deal that would see the number 9 wear a Rossoneri shirt.
The paper evidently refers to a first ‘treason’ – joining Real Madrid after playing for Barcelona – now being doubled as he ‘betrays’ Nerazzurri fans and father figure Massimo Moratti.
‘Marca’ (Score) says that the player is now flying to Milan in order to pass the routine medical that is the last step to him being unveiled by Galliani with a red-and-black jersey in hand.
Negotiator Ernesto Bronzetti has confirmed the agreement at six million Euros rather than the 7.5 million that was supposed this morning. Both Real Madrid and AC Milan ceded substantially in their demands to reach the agreement.
"The deal to bring Ronaldo to Milan is now a fact and the price is around the six million-Euro mark", explained Bronzetti to RAI International television.
