Higuaín and Gago: The Club's latest signings attend their first training session

Real Madrid's return from the holiday's proved to be the first training session for their latest signings, Higuaín and Gago. Both players arrived together at Valdebebas with big smiles on their faces half an hour before the start of this afternoon's training session. Minutes later they stepped onto the pitch with their new teammates in order to put a start to their new professional life.

Gago and Higuaín's dream started coming true today at 4 pm when they both experienced their first few minutes as players on "the best Club in the world". Like all youngsters, they looked bold and sure of their quality.

They stepped onto the field together and found a new "ally" in Robinho. They joined him during Capello's opening speech and while jogging around the pitch. Gago, Higuaín and Robinho formed a young and explosive threesome that may prove to be a decisive fixture on the team in the not too distant future. Gago then joined Emerson, Beckham and Reyes during the jogging series that ensued, while Higuaín ran with Raúl, Ronaldo, Robinho and Guti.

Higuaín scores

Both new players' quality soon shined in the 30 minute long practice match at the end of the training session. Gago clearly showed he is a very solid playmaker, very much like his idol Fernando Redondo was. He distributed his team's game down both sides of the pitch, controlling the ball extremely well the few times he came into contact with it. On the other hand, Higuaín showcased his natural scoring instinct, constantly looking to receive the ball from many different positions. When he finally did, he proved to be merciless by scoring a beautiful goal after going past the entire defence and the goalkeeper single-handed.

It seems clear that both players will soon be able to delight Real Madrid fans. Today's work seems to predict their success and the smiles on their faces when leaving Valdebebas proved they were satisfied with their first day at work with Real Madrid.
