Becks ready to fight
Former England captain David Beckham says he has no complaints over his role on the Real Madrid bench, insisting he will work hard to win over Fabio Capello.
Beckham has had a troubled few months as, after resigning as England captain following the World Cup finals and being overlooked by new Three Lions chief Steve McClaren, he has had to content himself with a watching brief at El Santiago Bernabeu.
Jose Antonio Reyes has taken Beckham's place on the right and the 31-year-old is aware he will have to work hard to catch Capello's eye.
"I can't complain because I'm not in the starting line-up," said Beckham "There are a lot of players on the bench who are in the same circumstances.
"I will have to adapt to the new situation and work hard to win Capello's confidence.
"Reyes is a fantastic player and I can understand why he is playing."
Beckham failed to inspire Real to victory on Sunday, as he climbed off the bench to feature in the final 20 minutes of the Madrid derby draw with Atletico.
